Small Newel Post Top, Newel Post Carved Wood Finial, Antique Staircase Post Top, Architecture Salvage 111203

A beautifully carved antique newel post top or finial. These were placed on the top of a staircase post or newel post and were a gorgeous decorative flourish at the end of a railing. It would make the perfect finishing touch for a staircase that is missing this piece. There is paint on this piece as shown in the photos although it's likely most could be gently scraped away without having to refinish the entire finial.
