Small Antique Turned Newel Post Topper, Wood Newel Post Finial Top 082913

A beautiful turned wood top finial for an antique newel post. This piece shows off the beautiful crackled shellac finish; an authentic patina from a hundred years of use. It will need a gentle cleaning before installation and there is wear to the shellac finish and a bit of wear to the wood as shown, but this piece is in otherwise good condition. There are some small gaps in seams due to wood shrinkage over time as shown in the photos. All nails have been clipped or removed
