Mantle With Carvings, Antique Wood Fireplace Mantel, Carved Wood Mantel

An antique mantel with a whimsical carved design on the front. There are signs of age and damage to the wood especially at the top right corner where there is a small split in the wood and some separation of the trim. There is also a repaired split in the wood in the carved section as shown in the photos. Part of the wood has been mostly stripped although paint remains on some sections. 
This antique wooden fireplace mantel measures 60” wide by 47 1/4"” tall by 9 1/4” deep at the shelf. The interior is 41 1/2” wide, 38 3/4” tall by 3 1/2” deep.
