Gryphons and Bird Design Door Plate, Antique Door Plate Double Keyhole, Swinging Keyhole Cover 013002

A large entry sized iron backplate with an intricate design across the front and a decorative collar for the knob featuring a stork or crane at the top and gryphons flanking either side of the base. Figural designs such as this are very unusual and this plate is incredibly ornate with an unusual profile. These plates with two key holes are meant for exterior doors and are a wonderful way to welcome guests to your historic home. The bottom keyhole is missing the swinging drop cover.
