This cast iron grate's scrolling, openwork pattern is typical for this period and matches a variety of decor. This particular grate does have old paint as shown. It is very good physical condition with no cracks or chips.
These are easy to sandblast, strip, or repaint if so desired or they can be cleaned and sealed as is to keep the rustic appearance. They are very heavy and durable and can be used as wall art, doormats, pot racks, table tops, and more.
