A regal full mantel of gorgeous quarter sawn oak with carved capitals and a generously-sized mirror. The elegant columns set this piece apart as a substantial architectural feature and will make it the centerpiece of any room. Use it in a historic Victorian restoration or new build to add historic charm to your home. The wood columns are made of thinner oak bent around a base; the backside of one column has split due to shrinking over time as shown in the photos. The left corbel under the mantel shelf is loose (this is a decorative piece and does not bear any weight). Please see all of our pictures for details.
This antique fireplace mantel measures 60 1/8" wide by 85 1/4" tall by 11 1/2" deep. The opening is 41 1/8" wide by 39" tall by 2 1/2" interior depth. There are nicks and scuffs in the finish of this piece as shown in the photos; specifically around the outside edges and the top of the mantel shelf on the left side. Buyers may opt to touch this up, however, the damage is only to the finish and not to the wood itself.
