All Original Victorian Gas Chandelier Light with Japanned Brass Finish

A completely original Victorian gas light with a Japanned brass finish body and pull chain starters for the 'bulbs'. The white glass globes are stamped with the original company label and have a small opening at the base to allow the flame to breathe. Inside the white globes are smaller clear globes that are also stamped by the maker as well. The entire light is accented with ornate cut out designs and stamped detailing in the metal. This is a very high-end light that is in excellent condition. It has not been rewired for electricity, however, we do not know if it's currently in working condition for using gas. This antique Victorian gas lamp measures approx. 31 1/2" wide by 28" tall. The thumb turns switches for the gas valves do not move and may need some cleaning to loosen them up again. There is no mounting bracket for the ceiling on this light as gas lighting threads directly into gas pipes in the ceiling.
